Impact of ungulates and other mammalian herbivores on forest ecosystems

The Forest Ungulate Research Network (FURN) and the SNS network Natural Disturbance Dynamics Analysis for Forest Ecosystem Management organised a joint meeting in Estonia in week 41, on 8-12 October 2012. As this year the Natural Disturbance network arranges its activities in conjunction with the PRIFOR network, participants from three different networks attended the meeting, which covered current research and findings on the impact of ungulates and other mammalian herbivores on forest ecosystems. The main meeting venue was the Järvselja Training and Experimental Forest Centre of the Estonian University of Life Sciences, located at a 45 min. drive east from Tartu.
